Italy elections: A new direction, or is the country adrift?

Latest update : 2018-03-05

By François PICARD

The country is now split between the far-right League in the north and the anti-establishment Five-Star movement in the south, with both their leaders staking a claim to the prime minister's post. We'll ask what it means for Europe and whether it makes the eurozone's third economy ungovernable.
